AI-assisted exam correction

Exam correction, made simpler.

ExamCorrect reads students' answers and applies the teacher's own marking criteria. It suggests a mark and a rationale for each criterion; the teacher always has the final word.

The same answers.
Two different marks?

It happens. A mark depends on who is marking, when they mark and how many exams they have marked before. It is not a teacher's failing; it is human. The answer is clear criteria, applied the same way to every exam.

It does not replace the teacher. It takes the repetitive part of marking off their hands.

How it works

Four steps, from the photo to the final results.

In this first release the interface is in English; suggested marks' rationales, class reports and sign-in e-mails are produced in Portuguese.

  1. The teacher uploads

The marking criteria and the photos of the class's exams. Optionally, exams already marked, so the correction comes closer to their own.

  2. ExamCorrect suggests

Each answer receives a suggested mark and a rationale, criterion by criterion.

  3. The teacher reviews and gives feedback

Reviews exam by exam and corrects whatever they see fit. ExamCorrect takes the feedback into account and re-marks the class on that basis.

  4. Final results

The teacher confirms the mark sheet and receives the report: class mean and median, mean per question — and therefore the questions the class found hardest — and a per-student report, criterion by criterion.

The school sets the context

The school uploads the syllabus, the textbooks and the notes of each subject. The correction takes that context into account.

Invite administrators and teachers

The school names who administers it and invites its teachers.

Upload the subject's syllabus and textbooks

Syllabus, textbooks (e-books) and teaching notes, per subject and year.

Correct with context

Projects are corrected with the subject's context and each teacher's own criteria; the teacher can upload exams they have already marked or give feedback to the AI.

Students' data

Four commitments, written into the contract with each school.

For parents and guardians: the school decides to use ExamCorrect, and every mark is confirmed by a teacher.
